I became fascinated with the human body and its ability to heal through my own health journey. Struggling with Endometriosis for two decades, I spent years navigating the medical world and then looking for solutions beyond prescription opioids and surgeries.

I am a Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist and a graduate of the internationally recognized Body Intelligence Foundational Practitioner Training Program.

Through Biodynamic Cranialsacral Therapy, I learned how compounding traumas, injuries, and certain life experiences can get stuck within the body and cause significant physical, mental, and emotional health issues. I also learned that healing can be very gentle. This soft-touch approach allows the body to access its own inherent healing ability and harness the potential for wellness within us all.

Add me to your Wellness Plan Team!

I wish I could show you, when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.

Tell us about yourself as a person and as a healing professional.

I am often described as a really grounded person who creates a sense of safety in those around me. I love having deep, real conversations with people and hearing their stories-- where they've come from, where they are now, and where they hope to be. I hold no judgements and understand everyone has their own unique path to walk.

The outdoors are where I feel most at home, and I am grateful to live somewhere so abundant with forests, lakes, and mountains to explore. Horses are my other major passion and I offer Equine Facilitated Learning sessions from the peaceful space just outside of Salmon Arm that I call home.

02

What is Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy (BCST)?

In simple terms- BCST helps your body to remember how to heal itself. It's a profound yet gentle light touch healing modality that supports deep nervous system regulation to access the innate healing abilities of the body. As your practitioner, my role is to help you feel safe enough to enter a state of relaxation which in turn allows for nervous system regulation. It is in these states that we have the capacity to unwind long held traumas and injuries and return to a state of balance and wholeness within. Gentle light touch, intuitively guided by listening to your body, helps to facilitate this healing. BCST is incredibly versatile and is supportive for physical, mental, and emotional health needs at any age and stage of life.

03

What drew you to this work?

It was a combination of my own health journey and a desire to help people in a meaningful way that led to lasting results. Prior to being a BCST practitioner, I was a social worker for ten years. I see my time in this role as a profound education in the human experience. I learned about resilience, and I learned about brokenness. The skills I gained from my time as a social worker continue to serve me in my practice today. I am able to hold neutral but compassionate space for whatever a client is processing during their session.

04

What is the hardest thing about the work you do?

I don't really see anything hard about it - it's not work for me - it's play - it's really, really enjoyable. I get invigorated in sessions - I get to experience my own nervous system regulation and help support others. I stopped saying "I'm going to work" when I left social work. I don't say this arrogantly--but, truthfully, this was something that just felt instantly aligned for me.

05

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing people find who they are again. Seeing them find their health that they thought they would ever see again - people get a light in their eyes and get to experience joy again. Instead of the doctors telling them this is their life now, they get a second chance.

06

What is the one thing about Biodynamic Craniosacral that most people don't know?

Most people don't know what it is. And, most people don't know their body can heal itself. People are regaining their sovernity about their health, and I get to witness that.

07

What would you say to someone who is unsure about trying Craniosacral?

I would say give it a try because this modality can do no harm, it is safe for any body, and you are in control during the entire session. If you need a break, we can take a break, if you want to talk, we can talk. We can discuss safety parameters and what feels comfortable. We can go as slow or as fast as you need to. But, ultimately, there is nothing to lose by giving it a try.
